In 2015, the American Public Works Association (APWA) selected the Barrio Loan Gateway Sign, located on Cesar Chavez Boulevard, for an Honor Award. On the same day, this project also received an American Planning Association (APA) Implementation Award. In addition, this community gateway design project won an American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Juror’s Commendation Award in 2014.

The American Public Works Association selected the Mira Mesa DAR-Miramar College Transit Station Project for the Project of the Year Award in 2015.

This park project has won numerous awards over the years including: American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Award of Honor in 2014 American Public Works Assoc. (APWA), Project of the Year, 2009 ASCE, San Diego Chapter, Award of Excellence, 2009 Alonzo Award, Downtown San Diego Partnership, 2009 Orchid Award Planning Policies from San Diego Architectural Foundation, 2008

Estrada Land Planning received four design awards on December 4, 2014 at the American Society of Landscape Architects awards ceremony. Chollas Creek Segment 5 Restoration Project Study, Barrio Logan Community Entry Sign, and Azalea Park Drought Tolerant Garden all received Jurors’ Commendation Awards. In addition, Tweet Street Linear Park received the Award of Honor.
